About Lymphatic Drainage with the Ballancer®Pro

This newer form of lymphatic drainage uses specialised, sensor-based compression therapy to reduce swelling, improve circulation, and decrease excess fluid in the body. (1) The Ballancer®Pro to perform this treatment. This cutting-edge pressotherapy system can address several areas of the body at once, including the stomach, hips, buttocks, arms, upper body, back, and thighs. The Ballancer®Pro features four different sequential, peristaltic (contraction-based) treatment settings and a built-in pretreatment mode, making it one of the leading medical-grade compression therapy systems available.

Benefits

The Ballancer®Pro brings several notable post-surgical benefits, including:

  • Recovery Optimization: By using Ballancer®Pro after surgery, patients may experience a swifter, more straightforward recovery.
  • Reduced Swelling: The Ballancer®Pro can help your body’s lymphatic system process and filter waste, minimize swelling, and reduce fluid retention.
  • Improved Circulation: This treatment can break down scar tissue and improve circulation in areas, bringing freshly oxygenated blood to the places that need it.

Candidates

You may be a suitable candidate for lymphatic drainage if you have recently undergone a surgical procedure and are interested in addressing fluid retention, poor circulation, and other post-operative side effects for a more efficient and comfortable recovery.

All patients should be in good general health and maintain realistic expectations regarding their results. Your patient coordinator will determine your candidacy during your consultation.

Preparation

Your specialist will let you know what steps you can take to prepare for your treatment. Steps may include:

  • Stay Hydrated: Maintain your body’s hydration levels by drinking plenty of water before your appointment, as your lymphatic system requires water to function properly.
  • Eat Beforehand: Eat a light, nutritious, and easily digestible meal several hours before your treatment.
  • Refrain from Alcohol: Avoid alcohol consumption in the days before and after your treatment—alcohol can contribute to swelling and dehydration.
  • Dress Comfortably: Wear loose and breathable clothing to your appointment to ensure a more comfortable experience.

Procedure

To perform your lymphatic drainage treatment, your specialist will dress you in the suit that you will wear throughout your treatment. Using sensor-based technology, the suit will carefully inflate and deflate to provide a gentle, rolling pressure across your body. These movements will help move excess fluid and waste towards the lymph nodes, increase your circulation, alleviate pain, and more.

These motions will continue for approximately 20 to 60 minutes, depending on your treatment plan. Once it concludes, your specialist will take off the specialized suit, and you will be able to head home.

Results

You will be able to notice some improvements in your recovery experience after undergoing just one lymphatic drainage session with Ballancer®Pro. Full benefits may take time to develop due to the gradual functioning of the lymphatic system.

You will be able to enjoy reduced swelling, minimized discomfort, improved circulation, and an overall decrease in fluid retention. After undergoing their surgical procedure, patients may notice that their recovery is easier and shorter thanks to Ballancer®Pro. By reducing swelling more efficiently, we help patients see their surgical results sooner and more clearly.

Most patients see the best results after undergoing a series of 5 to 10 treatments post-surgery, approximately once per week. The exact recommended number of treatments may vary depending on the details of your recovery.
