Fat Transfer to Butt Denver, CO

Transferring fat to the butt is a procedure that helps people achieve a perkier look with a natural feel. It is a particular type of buttock augmentation– a cosmetic surgery that enhances the size and shape of the butt. This treatment is commonly referred to as a Brazilian Butt Lift, or BBL

Many individuals feel that their buttocks are not in harmony with the rest of their body, while others naturally have smaller or flatter buttocks, which can affect their self-confidence. With a BBL patients can achieve a more balanced and attractive silhouette using fat from their own body.

Denver Liposuction Specialty Clinic offers premium fat transfer butt augmentations here in the capital of Colorado. For more information, call (720) 372-2155 or contact us online.

About Fat Transfer to the Butt

Fat transfer, also known as fat grafting, fat injections, or lipofilling, is a cosmetic procedure that involves removing fat from one area of the body using liposuction and injecting it into another. The butt is a common area of transfer, as fat is a natural contributor to its appearance. (1)

Fat transfers for butt augmentation involve a surgeon making an incision to access the pocket of fat that they will be repurposing. These pockets of fat are usually found in the hips, thighs and abdomen. These are areas of the body that are not generally considered aesthetically pleasing for fat to build up in excess. The butt, however, is a great place for a little extra volume

While the purpose of fat transfer is not to enhance the appearance of the areas where fat is taken from, this can be an indirect benefit of the procedure. Through the incisions, a surgeon will use a narrow tool called a cannula to perform liposuction, emulsifying and removing fat from the body. They then purify it before carefully and deliberately injecting it into the butt, increasing volume and enhancing shape.

Benefits of Fat Transfer to Butt

Fat transfer to the butt can improve the appearance of your butt without the need for implants that might rupture or become displaced. The fat cells that are transferred continue to survive naturally after they have been transferred, as they are able to regain blood supply. This makes for a remarkably natural cosmetic treatment.

A BBL can increase the fullness of your butt, transforming it so that it appears more round. With the increased volume, your butt will project outward for a perkier and more youthful look. Having a bigger butt will help to balance out your figure, creating a visual anchor point for your shapeliness to shine. (2) This can have a profound impact on self-image and increase self-esteem.

Who is a Candidate for a Fat Transfer to Butt?

An ideal candidate for a fat transfer to the butt will want to improve the size and shape of their behind. Having a beautiful, shapely butt is a worthwhile asset to have, and they will recognize the value that this procedure can add to their life. If you can relate, a fat transfer to your butt might be right for you.

To be eligible for this procedure, you should be in good health with no underlying conditions that could affect the success of the procedure. You should also have realistic expectations about what a fat transfer to the butt can do for you. It is not a weight loss solution, as your surgeon will only take as much fat as is required for the transfer. Although it will make you more beautiful, it does not replace the necessity for a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Preparation

A BBL procedure will require some downtime. Make sure that you have the time, including taking time off from work, to allow your body to heal. If you smoke, you should stop before your surgery. The negative health effects of smoking can affect your ability to recover. For two weeks leading up to your surgery, avoid anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen, as these can increase the risk of bleeding.

On the day of your procedure, arrange for a trusted adult to drive you to and from our facility. You should also prepare your living space for your recovery. Make sure you have all the food and entertainment you’ll need to properly rest at home while you heal.

Fat Transfer to Butt Procedure

To ensure your comfort throughout the surgery, we will administer local anesthesia. This will ensure that you remain pain-free and relaxed during the entire procedure. The first step in a BBL involves performing liposuction on areas of the body with excess fat deposits, such as the abdomen, hips, or thighs. This technique not only removes unwanted fat but also sculpts these regions to enhance the overall proportions of your body.

The extracted fat is carefully collected using specialized tools to preserve its viability. Your surgeon employs advanced VASER techniques to minimize trauma to the fat cells, increasing the likelihood of successful fat transfer to the buttocks. Once the fat is harvested, it undergoes a meticulous process of filtration and purification. This step eliminates any impurities or damaged cells, ensuring that only healthy fat cells are used for the augmentation.

Using precise techniques, your surgeon will strategically inject the purified fat into various layers of the buttocks to create the desired shape, volume, and contour. This step requires both technical expertise and an artistic eye to achieve natural-looking and harmonious results.

Recovery

In order to recover properly from your BBL procedure, you will need plenty of rest and relaxation. For two weeks after your procedure, you will need to sleep on your stomach so the new shape of your butt can set into place. It is important to maintain good circulation, so you should take small walks around your home in-between periods of rest. Be sure to keep your incisions clean, and monitor them for signs of infection. You may experience some discomfort while you recover. We will can prescribe pain medication to help alleviate this.

You should avoid strenuous activity and sitting on your bottom for at least two weeks following your surgery. When you do sit, place a pillow or blanket underneath your hips to minimize direct pressure on your butt. Most patients are able to return to week about two weeks after their treatment.

Results

The final results of the fat transfer to your butt will not be immediately apparent. When the fat cells are transferred, a certain percentage of them will not survive, and the others can still grow larger. Your butt will progress to its new form after three to six months. Around three months after your surgery, you will enter the “fluffing stage”, wherein your skin softens and expands in order to accommodate the added volume of fat.

The results of your fat transfer will be permanent once the transferred fat cells have fully adapted to their new environment. However, fat cells can expand and contract, and they are subject to change size if your weight does not remain steady. It is possible to receive multiple fat transfers and other more surgical cosmetic procedures to uphold your butt’s beauty in the future.

Corresponding & Complementary Procedures

Here at Denver Liposuction, we offer treatments that can correspond with and complement the fat transfer to your butt.

VASER Liposuction

VASER Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that removes fat from the body with greater efficiency and less downtime than traditional liposuction. It involves treating the fat with ultrasound energy prior to its removal, so that it emulsifies and separates from the internal tissue. Although your fat transfer to butt procedure will remove some excess fat from your body, VASER liposuction can help you achieve beautifully slim curves to compliment your new butt.

Cellulite Reduction

Cellulite Reduction is a cosmetic treatment that involves using laser and light technology to tighten skin and eliminate the visual signs of cellulite. The focused energy is applied under  the skin, encouraging the fat near the surface of the skin to be processed by the lymphatic system. Together with your fat transfer to butt procedure, cellulite reduction can get you a butt that’s not only rounder and fuller but smoother too.
